Spanking Stories Book Club Update

After one month and one fabulous book, I'm ready to call the Spanking Stories Book Club a success and I'm looking forward to more converstaions with all of you.

A couple of items to mention. First, I've created a Spanking Stories Book Club page that you can access by either clicking on the button at the top of the blog or clicking on the logo on the sidebar. Or you could click here. On th e page you'll find links to prior discussions plus info about upcoming books we'll be reading.

I've also created a sexy logo. Actually, I made two. The difference is subtle, notice the placement of the letters. Which one do you like best? We'll call them Top and Bottom for your voting ease.

This week we'll begin our discussion of Desire in Any Language by Anastasia Vitsky and in March we'll read and talk about Jade Cary's To Love A Woman. And, good news bargain hunters, To Love A Woman will be available for FREE during Love Spanks.
Is there no end to the fabulous treatment we Spanking Writers give our fans? I say NO!

Looking forward to seeing you all here on Friday for our first discussion of Desire in Any Language. Remember, the first week our discussion will be pretty general so if you haven't started the book, you won't be in trouble...yet.

Last #SixSunday

It's a sad day in bloggerville. The last official Six Sentence Sunday. It's been tons of fun to participate and I sincerely appreciate the effort of the coordinators.

I have a feeling that Six Sentence Sunday may be hosted by someone new or in some variation in the future. Until then, I'll continue to post six (or maybe a few more) sentence snippets from my work on Sundays.

I hope you'll visit all the other Six Sentence Sunday-ers this week since it might be your last chance.

As you may have heard, I'm going to be part of an anthology of spanking stories that will be published by Lazy Day Publishing in May, 2013. You can find more details about that book here. My contribution will be a story called Reconnecting which is a continuation of my book Underwear Probation. In Reconnecting, Daisy can't seem to control the time she spends on line. In order to get her focus off the computer and back on their marriage, Reece takes her to a remote resort where they must disconnect in order to reconnect.

In this scene, although Daisy promised Reece she'd shut off the computer and be in bed "in a minute", she spent much longer than that on line. Here's what happens when she finally goes to bed.

Rhythmic breathing from her husband’s side of the bed filled Daisy with a sense of relief. She tip-toed around the room getting ready for bed and slipped between the covers with ninja-like stealth. Snuggled deep in the bed she laid her head on her pillow with a contented sigh and closed her eyes.

A strong arm pulling her back against a hard body got her attention and her eyes flew open. She willed herself to remain calm and contemplated pretending that she’d actually been asleep before Reece reached out for her.

She found herself spooned by her husband who gave her butt a firm squeeze then whispered in her ear, “We’ll talk about your computer habits in the morning.”

#Spanking Story Book Club Week Three

Welcome back! We're here for our final discussion of Body Politics by Cara Bristol.

So, for all of you (Renee Rose) who have said you need to read more of the book before you can participate, we're waiting to hear from you.

For our final discussion, I thought I'd ask everyone what was your favorite scene and why? Also, what was your least favorite scene and why?

And if there are other things you'd like to ask or say about the book, here is your chance.

I'm going to hold off on my favorites and least favorites to give everyone else a chance to weigh in. Can't wait to hear what you think.

Reminder---next week we will start our discussion of Anastasia Vitsky's Desire in Any Language, which is now available on Amazon as well as Blushing Books. You don't want to miss any of the fun, so get reading!

Super Giant Announcment

Wow, am I excited today! Can you believe I've been able to keep this a secret for several weeks now?

So, here it is....drumroll please....

Some of your favorite spanking fiction authors (and me) are joining forces for one super colossal spank-o-rific anthology of spanking stories. Some of the authors will be re-visiting couples from their previous books while others will be introducing us to new couples.

Here is the blurb and the list of participating authors.
Coming to Terms

Summer means more than fun and sun, rest and relaxation. For the couples in Coming to Terms, vacation presents a chance to connect, and work through important issues in their domestic discipline relationships. From endeavoring to define DD to missing a DD partner to balancing erotic spanking and disciplinary spanking, these stand-alone stories penned by seven authors of spanking fiction cover a broad spectrum of issues commonly encountered in loving DD relationships. Will the obstacles prove too difficult to overcome? Or will each couple emerge from vacation with their relationships revitalized and stronger than ever?
Publication: May 2013

My story Reconnecting is a follow up to my book Underwear Probation.  In Reconnecting
Daisy and Reece are a loving couple practicing Domestic Discipline. When Daisy has trouble monitoring her time online, Reece takes her to a remote resort where they can disconnect from the internet but reconnect to each other.

Alta Hensley                                 Anastasia Vitsky

Cara Bristol                                  Celeste Jones

Jade Cary                                      Renee Rose

I can hardly believe that these wonderful ladies are letting me tag along. We've had some fun discussions about our stories and I'm looking forward to working with all of them and getting to know them all better.

*****If you're wondering where the Spanking Story Book Club Meeting is, it's been postponed til tomorrow. See you then! *******

#Spanking Story Book Club Selection For February

And the lucky book is.....Desire In Any Language by Anastasia Vitsky. I think this will be an interesting contrast to Body Politics.

A little note about the schedule---we'll finish our discussion of Body Politics on Saturday, January 26. This is a change to the usual Friday schedule and start our discussion of Desire In Any Language on February 1.

Here's a little preview to get us started.

Blurb:

On her own for the first time, Mira is studying abroad for her translator’s certificate.  Unfortunately, the heady excitement of dance clubs, late-night parties, and endless shopping quickly distracts her from her educational goals.  Mira’s advisor offers her private tutoring, but the combined pressures of culture and language difference threaten Mira’s progress at school.  She is unable to get her act together until she makes a discovery that horrifies and tantalizes her: in her new country, corporal punishment is a way of life.  The secret to her academic success just might also fulfill her wildest, unspoken dreams.

Excerpt:

“Mira, look me in the eye and tell me that this isn’t some crazy ploy to get out of telling me that you haven’t done your homework for today.”

Oh crap.  I thought she didn’t do interrogations.  I thought she was Encouragement and Cheerleading and Meticulous Dedication, not some psychic mind reader suddenly seeming far more than four years older.

“Could you just sign it?” I mumble.  Even though her tutoring is private, it is still an official registered class.  It was, naturally, she who waded through the mounds of paperwork and red tape to give me transcript credit for her after-hours labor of love.

“I could sign it,” she says in a strange voice.

I involuntarily look up to see such vulnerability and hurt on her face that I again have to look down.  Blinking the tears away.

“I could sign it and let you walk away from the months you’ve invested in this school—all because you couldn’t take one day to complete your work.  I hope you’re not planning to attend another language institute in the near future because a drop-fail will hardly help your chances for admission.  Is that what you want?”

I hadn’t thought about jeopardizing future school plans, but I have to admit that she is right.  Suddenly this all seems a lot more serious than I thought.  I thought I could just pick up and leave on a whim.  After all, I’ve already done the college thing.  This is just extra.  But if I want to become a translator, at least some official credentials are needed.

“No,” I admit in a small voice.

“What do you want, Mira?  Have you thought anything except just to run away?”

“Why are you scolding me?”  I ask plaintively.  I know it’s a mistake even before the words are out, and her voice stiffens.

“What do you want me to say?  ‘Yes, go ahead.  Walk away.  Give up on yourself.’ Do you really want me to say that?”

The tears are becoming dangerously close now.  This lecture might be a once-in-nine-months occurrence, but she’s certainly packing enough punch to make up for lost time.

“I’m sorry,” I murmur. Her warm, sweet-smelling arm rests on my back and gently presses me to lean against her.

“Don’t be sorry,” she says in her familiar gentle voice.  “Be persistent.  You owe it to yourself to give it another try.” I can only nod as the tears slip noiselessly through my closed eyelids.

“I’m sorry,” I say after a moment.  “I don’t really want to leave.”

“I know.”  She lets me rest against her for a moment.  I pull away, sniffling and wiping my eyes with the back of my hand.

“And I think we need to make some changes in our modus operandi.”

Her gaze wanders briefly to the “rod of love” lying horizontally across her desk.  Her eyes search my face questioningly.  I gulp.  Me?  Like a high-schooler?  Finally, I give the smallest possible nod.

Can't wait to dig into this book and talk about it with all of you!

Also---a change of schedule for this week. We'll have our final discussion of Body Politics on Saturday, January 26 instead of Friday, January 25. See you all then!

Six Sentence #Lovespanks Preview

After the raging success of Spank or Treat, the Spanking Fiction Writers are planning another fantastic blog hop. Love Spanks will take place February 9-10. You can get more info by clicking on the blog  hop logo over there ----->. I will also be posting more details soon.

As part of the event I will have a brand spanking new story for readers here on my blog. I've decided to visit my friends Ben and Darcy from Twenty One Days to a Better Attitude. They are a feisty pair and Valentine's Day has brought out the worst in Darcy. In Twenty One Days the story takes place primarily at Darcy's house, but on Valentine's Day, Ben decides to surprise Darcy with a visit to the courthouse where she works. It doesn't go so well.

“Darcy,” Ben looked meaningfully over her shoulder to signal that they were not alone, “maybe we should finish this conversation in private.”

Darcy ignored his hint. “There’s no more conversation to have. Get out of the courthouse before I call the bailiff over and have you escorted to your car.”

“That seems like a good use of taxpayer money.”

“Fuck you.”

“Maybe later.”

Be sure to come back for Love Spanks to get the whole story. I can't wait to share it with all of you.

Very Inspiring Blogger

I was nominated for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award by Joseph McNamara, Sue Lyndon, and Cara Bristol. Wow. I'm popular!

Thank you to those who nominated me.

Here are the rules.

The Rules
1. Display the award logo on your blog.
2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
3. State 7 things about yourself.
4. Nominate 15 other bloggers for this award and link to them.
5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements.

Now for Seven fascinating things about myself. The fascinating wasn't a requirement, but I try to aim high.

1. My current to-do list includes "go to the jail".
2. I make awesome no bake cookies.
3. I recently visited the house from the movie The Christmas Story, even though I've never seen the movie from start to finish.
4. My husband and I have been watching The West Wing on Netflix. What a great show!
5. I'm meeting my son's new girlfriend this weekend. I hope I like her. [I suppose I should hope she likes me too. ha!]
6. I wish Facebook had an eye roll feature in addition to the 'like' button.
7. I live in a very small house that costs less than many luxury (and not so luxury) vehicles.

Now, I need to nominate 15 bloggers.

Geez. I hate this part. It seems like all the blogs I visit regularly (sure wish I had more time to visit all the great blogs out there) have already been nominated.

Will I get into too much trouble if I don't nominate anyone else?

#Spanking Book Club: Body Politics by Cara Bristol

Welcome back! It's our second meeting and I'm excited. Now that we are on the second week, I'd like to talk in more detail about the book, Body Politics by Cara Bristol.

You can find last week's discussion here.

Although this book is clearly about Mark spanking Stephanie, there are two scenes where Stephanie actually spanks Mark and both of them are very different.

In the first Stephanie spanks Mark scene, the two of them are discussing spanking and the trust it can create in a relationship. When Stephanie asks why the same trust can't be established with a woman spanking a man, Mark says "If I allowed you to spank me, would you trust me enough to lie over my knee?" Stephanie doesn't really believe that he'd allow that, so imagine her surprise when Mark drops his pants, gives Stephanie a few pointers so as to not damage the family jewels, hands her a paddle and bends over the bed.

This scene took me a little by surprise. How about the rest of you? What did you think of the idea of Stephanie spanking Mark?

What about Stephanie's reaction to spanking him?

The second scene where Stephanie spanks Mark is very different from the first one. After dating for a couple weeks, Stephanie realizes that she wants/needs a spanking but she can't bring herself to ask for it. Instead, she teases him and gives him a few swats on the butt with a wooden spoon. I'll save the other details, but it's a delicious kitchen scene that will make you want to go back for seconds.

Was Stephanie playing with fire, or what? Did you admire her daring or cover your eyes thinking "uh, oh...she's in trouble"?

Next week will be the last time we talk about Body Politics (officially). Any other thoughts on the book?

Six Sentences from Legal Briefs

It's Sunday and that means Six Sentence Sunday here in blogland. You can find links to Six Sentence Samplings from other writers here.

This week's Six Sentences are from The Body Guard which is part of Legal Briefs: Over The Knee Justice.

Admit it, the annoying voice in her head said to her, you liked the feel of his strong hand showing you who’s boss.

I did not, she answered back, again all inside her head. He’s a bully.

No, he’s not. He’s a man who isn’t going to put up with your bratty, stubborn behavior, and you like it.

Kendra hated to admit it, but the voice might be just a teeny, tiny bit right.

#Spanking Story Book Club Body Politics by Cara Bristol First Meeting

Welcome everyone to the first meeting of the Spanking Story Book Club. Hope you are all comfortable. Of course, my living room is clean and comfortable and fully stocked with an assortment of home made goodies for us to enjoy while we talk about good books.

Today, and for the next several Fridays, we're going to talk about Body Politics by Cara Bristol.

I know all of you might not have had time to get the book or start reading, so let's start with a couple of general questions for discussion.

First---what's in a name? I'm horrible at coming up with names for characters, but one thing I noticed about the characters in Body Politics is their names. The heroine is Stephanie, a dyed in the wool, bra burning feminist. But, the name Stephanie is, to me, very feminine. She doesn't refer to herself as Steph or even Stevie. Is this the author's way of telling us that Stephanie might actually be more feminine than she'd like the rest of the world to believe? Or is this just a random coincidence?

Mark, is the strong, dominant hero. His name is short and to the point, but with a hard K---those names are so sexy.

Would the book be the same if the main characters were Stevie and Maurice?

Next question---the premise of the book is that Stephanie and Mark are set up on a blind date. Mark is a member of the Rod and Cane Society, a group of men who spank their wives/girlfriends. Stephanie is unaware of the group's existence or that Mark is a member.

In a dating situation, how soon should a spanko reveal their lifestyle? Do you get it out there on the table right away or wait until you've actually formed a relationship and then bring it up?

And if these questions aren't of interest to you---feel free to talk about something else about the book or spanking stories in general.

#Spanking Story Book Club First Book Announcement

The Spanking Story Book Club's first selection is.....

Body Politics by Cara Bristol

Woohooo. I've been looking forward to reading this book for weeks so let's all read it together.

The book is available now on Loose Id and is now available on Amazon  (just updated this info). I'm going to dig into the book right away and post the first discussion questions on Friday, January 11. Don't worry if you don't have the book by then, because the questions will be more general about the topic.

Body Politics blurb

Feminist Stephanie Gordon knows the instant she meets blind date Mark DeLuca it’s not going to work. Sure the deputy chief of police is criminally sexy, but he’s arrogant, domineering and sexist. Thank goodness after the evening ends, she’ll never have to see him again.

A member of the Rod and Cane Society, an organization of men who spank, Mark DeLuca is attracted to Stephanie like a paddle to a well-rounded ass. He sees beneath the shield of feminist militancy to the soft, sensitive woman she tries to hide. When she storms away in a snit, the chase is on. Can a spanko convince a diehard feminist her true strength lies in submission?

Body Politics contains feminist indignation, old-fashioned courtship, hot sex and lots of spanking. The third book in the All Rod and Cane Society series, it can be read as a stand-alone.

Body Politics excerpt

“What did Liz tell you about me?” he asked.

“She said you were divorced too. Brown hair, brown eyes.” She scanned his face as if verifying the information she’d been given was correct. “That you were in law enforcement. Are you a cop? A detective?”

“I’m the deputy chief of police.”

She formed a sexy oh with her lips. “Impressive.”

She was impressive, but if he told her so, she would assume he was hitting on her. She wouldn’t be far from wrong. He wanted to hit on her—in all the good ways. “I like to think I make a difference, but some days it’s a desk job.” He shrugged. “Tell me more about you. You said you founded…WAN, is it?”

She nodded. “Yes. I started the organization out of my apartment with one assertiveness training course. A friend from college joined me early on, and for a long time it was only us two. But now we’re incorporated as a nonprofit association and are located in the old city hall building downtown. We offer dozens of classes, rape and violence counseling, and support groups.”

Pride rang out in her voice, but then she twisted her mouth. “The downside is I now report to a board of directors. They all have good community connections, but I think some of them see it not as service but as a stepping-stone to further their careers or political aspirations. When I butt heads with certain members, I remind myself it’s about the women, not my ego. Elizabeth—Liz is one of the good ones.”

Mark chuckled. “I know what you mean. The chief usually deals with the police commission, but I’ve faced off on a few occasions.”

She folded a corner of her napkin. “Sorry for the long dissertation about my job. I’m sure you’re not interested in a women’s organization.”

He studied her face, taking in the arch of her brows, clear blue eyes, and a blush in her cheeks that caused him to imagine spanking her ass to the same hue, then having her stand in the corner with her glowing butt on display for his enjoyment. He shifted in his chair to ease his ache. “Why, because I’m a guy? You don’t think a man can support women’s initiatives?”

Color flooded her face, but she jutted her chin, and her gaze collided with his. “Most don’t.”

Who hurt you, kitten? Someone had taken a razor to her heart, and she’d been protecting herself behind a shield of militancy ever since. He did support women’s rights, would have no qualms about voting for a woman president. Men and women were equals. But they were different. No amount of posturing, no carefully worded rhetoric, no shouted slogans would change that.

“I’m not most men.”

“I’m sure you’re not,” she conceded politely, but her expression remained skeptical and cemented his hunch she’d been hurt. He wanted to hold her and soothe her fears. Then spank her to teach her submission didn’t mean losing control but gaining strength. She raised her glass for another sip, then set it down and traced the edge with her finger. Awkwardness circled like a faint breeze.

“Interesting glass,” she mused.

“Signature keepsake,” he parroted. Its somewhat narrow rim flared to a rounded base dimpled in the center, the bifurcation forming two halves.

She drew her eyebrows together. “It almost resembles a butt.”

“It is a butt.”

Her startled gaze flew to his. The moment of truth. The conversation would take a needed turn, but it was occurring sooner than he would have liked. He’d intended to get to her know better—let her trust him. When he said what he needed to say, would it be too much information too soon?

Cara Bristol Bio

Cara Bristol didn’t start out to become a spanking fiction author. It sort of happened…okay, with five spanking titles under her belt, two under contract, maybe it didn’t just happen. Maybe she likes the naughtiness, the taboo thrill of writing about dominant, sexy men who like to spank their partners. Could be. Ms. Bristol is a multi-published author whose Rod and Cane Society novels have become one of the most popular domestic discipline erotic romance series. Three books about a secret organization of men who discipline their wives have been released by Loose Id: Unexpected Consequences, False Pretenses and Body Politics. More are planned. Ms. Bristol’s other titles are Intimate Submission, Secret Desires, A Scent of Longing and Reckless in Moonlight. The former two also contain spanking. Ms. Bristol lives in the Midwest part of the United States with her husband. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, watching reality television and traveling.

Announcing--- #Spanking Story Book Club

Hi Everyone,

One of my favorite things to do is to read good books. And what makes reading a good book even better? Talking about it with friends.

Soooo, this year I am starting Celeste's Book Club (because I want to be more like Oprah). Each month we'll read a book together and on Fridays there will be a few discussion questions about the book.

No, it's not homework. There won't be a test and you won't get in trouble (unless you want to) if you haven't done the reading for the week.

Tune in Wednesday for the announcement about January's selection of the month.

Each comment here enters you in the grand prize drawing as well as the drawing for the gift card.

There are times when naughtiness requires a bit of creative thinking. Maybe you need to be creative about finding private time with a houseful of kids. Maybe it's just time to spice things up. Sometimes all you need to do is just look at things a little differently.

Someone sent us one of those huge gift baskets of exotic cheeses and crackers. My favorite item was this little cutting board. When I saw it sticking out between the food goodies, I squealed and dove in.
I have a feeling it's going to play a big part in my naughty plans for 2013.

How about you?  What creative plans do you have for 2013?

Creativity and Fantasy go perfectly together. My latest release, The Birthday Wish, is a fantasy story about Mimi who is feeling down on her 40th Birthday. She blows out her birthday candle and makes a wish that leads to the most romantic date of her life with the sexy Paolo who fulfills all of her fantasies.

Here's an excerpt:
His thumb rubbed her clit while his fingers continued to press into her core. Her clit throbbed against his thumb and wave upon wave of heat built from her loins and crashed through her body. She pulled her mouth away from his, turned her head and closed her eyes. A series of moans echoed through the room---hers.
Paolo rubbed her clit between his thumb and forefinger and used his other hand to guide her face back to his. “Look at me, Mimi. I want to look into your eyes when you come for me.”
No! It was too intimate. Too personal. He’d see her for the inexperienced dullard that she was. She scrunched her eyes closed and strained against his hand in an effort to free herself from his scrutiny.
He released her chin and relief washed over her.
Until she found herself flipped across Paolo’s knee, the smooth fabric of his tuxedo pants pressing against her stomach. The short skirt of her cocktail dress flipped up, exposing her bare rear end. Her eyes flew open in surprise.
“You still have not learned to trust me or my instructions.”
A flurry of swats hit her backside. The moist heat in her pussy combined with his rapid domination of her butt made her cry out in a long gasp. His hand landed on the same spot several times in succession, creating a burn in her left cheek, before he moved to the other side of her rounded backside. She wrapped her arms around his thigh to steady herself while he peppered her ass with firm spanks.

Be sure to check out all the other bloggers who are part of this Naughty Hop!
